Last week I celebrated another birthday! It only seems like two minutes since I was celebrating my ‘big 4-0 and it’s made me think what I have actually achieved in the last twelve months.
It turns out that although I’ve been working on a lot of things I don’t actually have very much to show for it. I’ve set the wheels in motion for the launch of my business and have some firm goals in place for both that and this blog. However everything else seems to have pretty much passed me by in a blur and this is one of the reasons that my word for the year is FOCUS.
This year I intend to make the most of my twelve months.
By this time next year I want to have a list of everything I have achieved. I want to cross things off my bucket list and live life to the fullest. I’m even considering revising and restarting my 101 goals in 1001 days challenge; I attempted it several times over but never actually finished due to one reason or another. This time I’m thinking about incorporating the children into my goals so we can all enjoy things together.
I’m going to appreciate the small things and be grateful for everything I have right in front of me.

Although I have done this in the past I seem to have gotten out of the habit of being thankful, so I am going to make more of an effort to be thankful. After all there is so much to be thankful for. I am thankful for the love and support of my family but I don’t always tell them. I am thankful for the roof over my head and the food on our table.
I’m going to work hard and play hard just like I encourage my kids to do.

I’m going to make sure everything I do moves me closer to my goals and dreams. Instead of waiting for life to come to me I’m going to get out there and take action.
If I continue down this path for the next twelve months hopefully when I write my birthday post next year I will be able to share with you all the amazing things I have accomplished.
