We love our Christmas Traditions and seem to add new ones each year. I’m always on the look out for new ideas to add to the magic of Christmas, especially while the kids are young enough to believe.
I’ve already posted my bucket list which includes several other of our traditions but here are a couple more that aren’t on there.
For the past 5 years I have been doing advent books. I’ve been doing this for the past 5 years now and the kids love it. Although we use most of the same books each year, we do add a few new ones to the collection each year. One of this year’s new additions was 12 Days of Elfin.
Our Christmas Elves, Felicity and Monty also make an appearance on December 1st.
They arrive with advent calendars and stay until Christmas Eve when they head back to the North Pole. During their stay they leave the kids activities and challenges to do. They can be a little mischievous but unlike some of the elves they aren’t naughty. When they head back home they leave another of our traditions – a Christmas Eve box.
Christmas Eve Box
Another tradition I started when Corey was born was the Christmas Eve box which arrives when the elves head back with Santa. Although it started off just for him it’s progressed each year and now includes things for the whole family.
Another Christmas tradition that I love are our Christmas Stockings and tomorrow I’ll be sharing with you some of my top stocking filler ideas.
So there are some of my current Christmas traditions. What traditions do you have? Drop me a comment and let me know.
