Back at the beginning of the school holidays the kids planned out their own bucket list for the school holidays. Now they are back at school some of our adventures seem like a distant memory so I have decided to take a look back and see if we achieved everything on their list. You can read the original post here.
See some butterflies – Done!
We managed to find the time to visit Tropical Butterfly House in Sheffield at the beginning of the holidays. We had a fantastic time looking at all the different animals as well as finding time to play on the playground. You can check out our full review here.
Make our own slushies – Done!
This was a spur of the moment activity and not a lot of planning went into it but both kids seemed to thoroughly enjoy their homemade slushies. If we were to do it again I would give it a little more thought.
Build a sandcastle – Done!
The kids had a fantastic day out with their grandparents at National Coal Mining Museum in Wakefield. Over the summer they had a seaside attraction complete with sandpits so they did manage to build their sandcastles.
Visit a zoo or farm (or both if possible) – Done!
We were lucky enough to make it to two farms as well as the zoo during the holidays. Our first visit was to Piglets Adventure Park and the second was to Matlock Farm Park. One of our final trips of the holidays took us to Chester Zoo. You can read about our visit to see the elephants here.
Pirates and Princesses Week – Done!
The first week of our holidays was a bit wet so we found ourselves doing lots of arts and crafts activities. You can read all about our pirates and princesses theme here.
As you can see we managed to cross everything and more off their list during what was a very productive holiday.
Did you have a busy school holidays or were yours more relaxed? Did you achieve everything you wanted during the holidays?
