Welcome to Day 3 of #Blogmas and today I’m sharing some of my favourite Christmas movies.

As the nights get colder and darker, I love nothing more than chilling out with my family and watching a movie. Once December arrives we try to watch one every weekend.

So without further ado, here are 10 of my favourite Christmas movies for all the family

I love this film and it’s one that gets watched every year without fail. I have been known to watch it more than once in the run up to Christmas.

Get Santa

One of the newer films on the list and one I really enjoyed. It was made all the more special as it was filmed near where we live so we try to watch out for familiar places.

Muppet Christmas Carol

The kids (and my OH) love The Muppets so this is a firm favourite every year.

Home Alone

This is my OH’s favourite Christmas movie and the kids love it too.

The Nightmare Before Christmas

I love Tim Burton films so it was a foregone conclusion this would make it on the list.

The Grinch

I’m not a huge Jim Carrey fan but I do love this movie, although my youngest wasn’t too keen on it last year.

Mickey’s Christmas Carol

Another firm favourite with the kids and adults alike and yet another take on the classic Dicken’s tale.

Another movie that makes me laugh. I love Martin Freeman and the fact it’s a slightly different Christmas movie.

Santa Clause

Another movie that I love watching at Christmas, if only for the numerous desserts consumed by Scott Calvin.

National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation

This reminds me of my teenage years. I love this movie; it makes me laugh out loud every time I watch it.

My list is in no particular order, but they are all movies I love watching at Christmas

In addition to the ones above I will more than likely be watching some of the TV movies on the Christmas movie channels while I wrap presents (or do the ironing).

I’m planning on watching as many as I can with the kids over the coming weeks while we’re all snuggled up on the sofa with a hot chocolate and some treats. Christmas movies always bring back fond memories for me and I’m hoping it will be the same when my children are older.

What’s your favourite Christmas movie? Drop me a comment and let me know.
